The department of chemistry was established in the beginning of the
establishment of the branch of Rabigh college of Science and Arts in year 1429
Hijri as one key sections of the College of Science. The importance of
chemistry is that it is the science most pivotal between all sciences and a
large part of our understanding of the material science is based on the
multiple areas of traditional chemistry such physical, inorganic and organic
chemistry, in addition to other specialities such as biochemistry, biotechnology,
metallurgy, medicine, molecular biology, pharmacy and physics in which chemistry
is a key factor.
Our vision
The Department of
Chemistry seeks to develop the national model for teaching and graduation of
students in order to qualify them for competition and participation in modern
technological variables of the 21th century. To accomplish
this vision, the department looks to give distinct education combines
knowledge, innovation and the use of the latest technologies with technical
contact to the high quality labor market.
Our mission
The department of chemistry aimed to
graduate a large group of undergraduate students who have full knowledge of the
basic principles in chemistry to be effectively participant in social and
professional lives.
To
strengthen these objectives, the section members seek to:

Provide
education services using modern techniques in the lectures, courses and
laboratories.
2-
Stimulate
innovation factor on students when they use modern equipment.
3-
Provide
academic advices for students in the area of scientific research.
4-
Encourage
permanent contact between faculty and students.
